Landing the Apollo Lunar Module." Designed for hands-on commercial or other high-throughput venues, Lunar Contact offers an exhilarating simulation of the final minutes of landing the Lunar Module (LM). Invite your guests to take command of the LM and join the astronaut adventure!

  • Realistic Lunar Module controls, displays and flight characteristics.
  • LM cockpit audio effects, including a computer-based co-pilot voice that responds to pilot's flight performance.
  • 3 pilot-selectable skill levels.
  • Immersive experience with single- and dual-screen options:
    • Dual-screen is designed for LM cockpit mock-up presentation and offers full-screen "out-the-window" view and full-screen LM instrument panel.
    • Single screen is designed for simple kiosk presentation and combines exterior "chase plane" view of LM with simplified instrument panel
  • Guests in the queue can be informed and entertained by an optional "Exterior View" add-on.

Target Audience

  • A user-selectable skill level makes Aerospace Test Pilot suitable for pilots aged 8 and above

Show Sequence

  • Attract Sequence - continuous loop of graphics and audio; calls visitors' attention to the exhibit. Guest moves joystick to start the show.
  • Training Sequence - hosted by "Roger", this short set of audio-visual screens is the "pre-flight briefing" through which the guest selects a skill level and learns the basics of flying the Lunar Module.
  • Flight Sequence - the actual landing attempt.
  • Wrap-up Sequence - "Roger" delivers a light-hearted assessment of the results of the landing attempt. The show then returns to the Attract sequence.
